The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Department has issued a statement indicating that they will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint tonight in Chalmette. However, past events indicate that sobriety checkpoints generally take place between the hours of 9pm and 5am. Drivers are advised to have the proper documentation (proof of insurance, driver’s license, etc) available if requested.
