Mother Jailed After Toddler Eats Marijuana

Posted on Oct 13, 2010 in Drugs

Twenty-two year old mother, Nicole Corbet, has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment of a child and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Corbet and her roommate, twenty-five year old Fernando Booker, had rented a hotel room and decided to bring along both a large stash of cannabis and Corbet’s two year old daughter.[caption id="attachment_1127" align="alignright" width="294" caption="Photo Courtesy of Prince William County Police"][/caption] Police later received a distressed 911 call from Corbet franticly confessing that her daughter had eaten an unknown amount of the drug and was possibly in danger. Paramedics have announced that the little girl is in good health and that she may not have felt any of the drug’s typical effects. She is now in protective custody pending the outcome of her mother’s legal problems. This is obviously an extreme case involving the endangerment of a minor, but if you or anyone you know has been arrested for possession of an illegal substance, an attorney can help defend your innocence.
