An off-duty New Orleans police officer was arrested early this morning by Causeway Police for allegedly driving drunk. 33-year-old Ryan Aucoin was pulled over on the Causeway shortly after 3 a.m. and booked at the St. Tammany jail with Careless Operation of a Vehicle and Driving While Intoxicated. At the time of arrest, Aucoin was driving an unmarked city vehicle.
As a result, Aucoin was immediately suspended without pay pending the outcome of a Public Integrity Bureau investigation.
